Day 1: Nayapul to Tikhedhunga
The trek begins from Nayapul, leading you through charming villages and terraced fields to Tikhedhunga. The trail is relatively easy, allowing you to acclimate and enjoy the stunning landscape. The journey is a pleasant introduction to the diverse flora and fauna of the region, with plenty of opportunities to interact with locals and experience their hospitality.
Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,874m)
On the second day, the trail ascends steeply to Ulleri, a significant climb rewarded by panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. As you continue, the path becomes less steep, winding through lush forests of rhododendron and oak. Reaching Ghorepani, you’ll be welcomed by a spectacular setting, with views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges preparing you for the next day’s early morning trek.
Day 3: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210m) for Sunrise, then Trek to Tadapani (2,630m)
An early morning hike to Poon Hill is the highlight of the trek, offering one of the most magnificent sunrise views in the Himalayas. As dawn breaks, the sun illuminates the peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare, creating a stunning panorama. After soaking in the views, you’ll trek to Tadapani, descending through dense forests and enjoying the serene natural beauty.
Day 4: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m)
The trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk is relatively short and easy, allowing you to explore one of the most beautiful Gurung villages in Nepal. Ghandruk offers rich cultural experiences, with traditional houses, local museums, and the warm hospitality of the Gurung people. The village also provides excellent views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.
Day 5: Ghandruk to Nayapul, Drive Back to Pokhara
On the final day, you’ll trek back to Nayapul, passing through terraced fields and scenic landscapes. The descent is gentle, offering a relaxed end to your trekking adventure. From Nayapul, you’ll drive back to Pokhara, where you can rest and reflect on your journey amidst the serene beauty of Phewa Lake and the vibrant city life.
